Composition, color, light and shadow - that's what I've always experimented with. Getting there means balancing ISO, aperture and shutter speed, and I enjoy that part even on the days it refuses to work. What I'm really after is atmosphere: I want whoever looks at the photo to see what I saw and felt in that moment. Nature, architecture and the city are where I look most, and the subjects that stay with me are usually the unremarkable ones - a place you walk past every day until one angle makes it hold still.

I'm using a Nikon ℤ ƒ with Z 40mm ƒ2, Thypoch Simera 28mm ƒ1.4 and Helios-44 58mm ƒ2. Every now and then I still shoot with my old Nikon D300 and its DX lenses - an absolute tank, and the picture quality still holds up.

I only recently started sharing any of this, after years of shooting now and then and keeping it to myself. Curious where it goes.
